Craig Horsfield, Skipper
Craig Horsfield has been sailing for over 23 years, beginning with Optimist in South Africa. He as sailed dinghies and keel boats and competed at local, provincial, national and international both inshore and offshore. The Mini Transat 650 is an opportunity to take his sailing to a new level.

PADI Scuba Diving qualification April 1990.
Ocean Navigation, Celestial navigation, Algoa Bay School of Seamanship, Port Elizabeth South Africa, December 1992.
Ocean Related Employment
Boat building summer internship: Worked on new construction and repairs, experience in composite lay-up and plywood construction.
Crew: commercial ocean fishing 1990 – 1998.
Active Sail Training: South Africa. Crew on 65 ft Yacht for charter. 1990 – 1993.

23 Years sailing experience, including dinghy, keel boat and ocean sailing.
2005: 2nd Placed Olson 30 North American Championship.
2004: 4th Placed Olson 30 North American Championship.
2003/5: 1st Placed boat in PNW Olson 30 fleet.
2001: Skipper of Olson 30 keel boat “Wild Turkey”. Local one design racing and short distance yachting events.
1993: Navigator in the Cape Town to Rio yacht race. 65 foot Ketch “Blue”.
1991 – 1997: Hobie 14 and 16 catamaran racing, local and provincial events.
1991 – 1997: Crew for local keel boat racing inshore and offshore.
1982 – 1992: Junior Dinghy Sailing. Optimist, Dabchick, Mirror and Laser Radials. Competing in local, national regattas and provincial team racing events.
